Johanan Havinga (1987) began to play piano by himself aged 4. At age 6 he began with lessons at the music school in Leusden with Marry Rouw. In the national semi final he received an honourable mention and also won the opportunity to play solo with the Noord Nederlands Orkest (NNO), playing the first movement of Grieg's piano concerto with them in 2005.
After completing highschool, Johanan began the full time degree programme at the conservatorium where he studies with Nata Tsvereli. Johanan is currently in 4th year piano and also studied harpsichord as a secondary instrument with Johan Hofmann. He has followed masterclasses with musicians including; Vladimir Tropp and David Wilde.
In addition solo works (currently the big piano sonatas for his graduation recital) is Johanan a much sought after accompanist.
